A Few of Our Accomplishments

  • The Housing Authority’s Housing Choice Voucher program has received a High Performer rating from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
  • The Housing Authority received a National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) Agency Award of Merit for its joint crime prevention program with Madera Police Department.
  • The Housing Authority was awarded 50 Housing Choice Vouchers for homeless veterans.
  • Modernized/rehabbed 165 units since 2008.
  • Received “Agency Safety Award” from the California Housing Workers Compensation Authority (CHWCA).
  • Assisted 69 housing clients in becoming homeowners through the Family Self-Suf􀏐iciency program.
  • Completed the disposition of (16) public housing units and successfully reinvested the capital in acquisition and preservation of new aff ordable housing resources.
